The file extension jar and the file extension jad are two file names usually associated with java applications. If your Sony Ericsson Mobile phone is java capable, you can probably open or install these files on your mobile. However, not all jar and jad files can work on Sony Ericsson Mobile Phones. It could be that the java application is specifically made for a mobile phone manufacturer such as Nokia or Motorola so even though you have successfully installed the application, it won’t open.
Opening or installing jar and jad files on your Sony Ericsson Mobile Phone is easy. All you need is a USB cable or a memory card reader. You can transfer the jar and jad files directly on your phone using the USB cable or on the memory card using a card reader. After transferring the files to your phone, just browse the file using the browser on your mobile phone and the click on it and it will automatically install.

The Sony Bravia X4500 range is Sony’s latest HDTV models available in 40, 46, and 55 inch models. The Sony Bravia X4500 series features a floating design and has additional sterling silver speaker covers or you can choose from optional Black or Red sterling covers in order to complement your home decor.
The Sony Bravia X4500 also features the new Motionflow PRO100Hz technology which allows you to watch smoother and sharper fast action scenes. The Sony Bravia X4500 also has an integrated USB port so you can connect your USB stick or digital camera to view your pictures direct from the source without having to transfer it to a CD.
Another new digital camera from Sony is the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T700. Like the Cyber-Shot DSC-T77, the Sony DSC-T700 also features five colors: black, silver, gold, pink and red.
Features on the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T700 includes: a slim design, 10.1 effective megapixels, 4GB internal memory, smile shutter, face detection, and anti-blink technology, and a 3.5 inch touch screen LCD.
Interestingly, the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T700 has an album features which lets you store all your digital pictures and show them off to your friends. The Anti-Blink technology is a new one, the camera takes two shot and using the face detection technology, it analyzes the picture whether the subject blinked or not and saves the pictures where the subject has their eye open.
A friend told me that someone gave her some mobile phone games on a cd. The problem was the file on the cd has the file extension mdf and it was a big file so she thought how was she going to install it on her sony ericsson phone? I told her that an mdf file is an image file and she needs to rename the mdf file to .bin and burn it using NERO. After burning, she then can see the games on the cd.
Another problem, however, came up. Most of the games on the CD have the file extension sis. SIS files are usually for symbian phones, meaning, most of them will work with Nokia phones. Only a few Sony Ericsson phones run on Symbian OS and these includes the Sony Ericsson G700, G900, M600i, P1i, P900, P800, P910, P990, W950, and W960. Even if your Sony Ericsson is running on Symbian, there’s no guarantee that the sis file will work on it especially if it was made for a Nokia phone, just like not all jar/jad files will work on the same phone even if both are capable of java applications.
I’m thinking of moving my blog out of wordpress’ free service and move it to a web host or dedicated servers, or as what my friend calls it, “Servidor dedicado“. While I’m very happy with WordPress’ service, I’m disappointed that I don’t get to map my own domain name to my blog for free unlike in Blogger.
Anyways, though traffic is slow for Sony Fangirl, I have big hopes for this blog and besides, this is not the only blog that I run so I think investing in dedicados might be a good choice. Hmm,
Sony has introduced another model to their fashion digital camera line, the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T77.
The Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T77 features a super-slim design and is available in five colours: black, silver, pink, green and brown. In fact, the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T77 is so slim that Sony is calling it: the World’s slimmest camera.
Features on the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T77 includes, 10.1 effective megapixels, smile shutter, face detection, and anti-blink technology, 4x optical zoom lens, and a 3 inch touch screen LCD.
Sony and its partner, Zeemote, recently launched the controller that would take mobile gaming in a higher level – the JS1 controller. The JS1 has a walkman feature that would work with the W760i. Moreover, it also has a GPS function that would also work with the same device. The JS1 controller will let the users have an almost-gaming console experience even though they are just using a mobile phone. It also has a built-in camera with 3.2 megapixel.
There are four trigger buttons and a thumbstick so that users can have an analogue control experience. This can be done via Bluetooth so that users can engage playing with mobile games
Sony has recently released two new Blu-ray players, the Sony BDP-S350 and the Sony BDP-S550. The Sony BDP-S350 incorporates new Blu-ray features such as 24p True Cinema, Cinema HD Upscale, BD-Live Ready, and BonusView. The BonusView is a cool feature which actually allows you to view a secondary video from the same Blu-ray disc. It’s like picture in picture only from the same source.
The Sony BDP-S350 doesn’t come with the latest firmware, you have to download by October 2008 which means you can’t have full access to BD-Live on this device.
So, guess which mobile phone will James Bond be using in the upcoming film Quantum Solace? Well according to UK cellphone reviews, the Sony Ericsson C902 will be featured in the movie. Of course, it’s no mystery that James Bond will probably be using the Sony Ericsson C902 to take spy shots. I wonder why didn’t Sony gave Bond a more computer-like mobile phone like the Xperia X1 or a more high end camera phone such as the upcoming C905?
Anyways, FYI, Quantum Solace will not be the first Bond movie that will feature the Sony Ericsson mobile phone. Previous Bond films already made use of the Sony Ericsson P900 and T68i.
